Blessing a new Play Ground at the Primary School of St Margaret Mary’s Brunswick 26/4/2017

Today 26/4/2017 the weather of Melbourne is four seasons a day, but luckily at 3.15pm the Sun comes out and shines on the play ground of the school as all students, teachers and some parents gather together with Fr Anthony Nguyen SDB, PP to bless and open a new play ground.

The Play Ground was built by Novocon Company with the money raised by Parents’ School Board and Fete committee and from the Building Fund of St Margaret Mary’s Church.

Certainly 150 students of St Margaret Mary’s will enjoy everyday during the school times and on week-end the Thien An Centre’s young people who come to study English and Matt and Vietnamese will enjoy themselves by using this play ground as well.

What a grace it is, what a joy, to be gathered here to celebrate with Sr Marguerite. “Break into song at the deeds of the Lord.” All the hymns in this Eucharist capture the spirit of the celebration, the joy rippling through the liturgy and drawing us across the threshold of ordinariness to a place of Jubilee. We are here today to give thanks for the faithfulness of Sr Marguerite over the past 50 years and we are here to praise the faithfulness of the Lord – the ‘strength, the song, the salvation’ of Sr Marguerite, whose life gives witness to ‘the marvellous things’ God does through her who follows him.
